So I called a contact at discovery channel who put me in touch with the production team who worked on the history channel episode who then put me in touch with the guys in mexico. At the end of the day the forum claiming this is a hoax is in fact a hoax itself. So once again this mystery is in fact still ongoing... 19th Sept 2010..
